Planck provides URL shortening services, link tracking, and analytics features. We offer both free and premium services for URL shortening and management.

3. User Registration

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account credentials.

4. Notifications

By creating an account, you agree to receive notifications from Planck, including but not limited to:

• Milestone notifications (e.g., when your links reach certain click thresholds)
• Monthly and weekly activity reports
• Unusual activity alerts
• Inactive link reminders
• Subscription status updates
• Motivational emails and promotional content

You can manage your notification preferences in your account settings at any time. However, certain essential service notifications may still be sent regardless of your preferences.

5. Leaderboard Participation

By using Planck's services, you agree that your public statistics (including but not limited to total clicks, links created, achievements unlocked, and days active) may be displayed in our public leaderboard. The leaderboard is designed to showcase user engagement and achievements within the platform.

Your username and basic statistics will be visible to other users on the leaderboard. You acknowledge that participation in the leaderboard is automatic and based on your account activity. We reserve the right to exclude users from the leaderboard at our discretion, particularly in cases of policy violations or suspicious activity.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Planck for:

• Distributing malware or harmful content
• Spamming or unauthorized advertising
• Violating intellectual property rights
• Any illegal activities

7. Link Content

You are solely responsible for the content of the URLs you shorten. We reserve the right to disable links that violate our policies or applicable laws.

8. Security and Malicious URL Detection

Planck employs automated security systems to detect and prevent malicious URLs from being distributed through our platform. This is essential to protect our users and maintain the integrity of our service.

By using Planck's services, you agree to the following security policies:

• All URLs shortened through our platform are subject to automated security scanning
• Links identified as malicious or potentially harmful will be automatically disabled
• Users are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts to create links with malicious URLs
• After the first and second attempts, users will receive warning notifications
• On the third attempt, the user's account will be permanently disabled
• Disabled accounts may contact our security team at [email protected] for review

We take security seriously and reserve the right to disable any link or account that poses a security risk to our platform or users. This policy is enforced automatically and consistently to ensure a safe environment for all users.

9. Analytics, Tracking, and Session Recording

We use analytics tools to understand how our website and platform are used, and to improve the user experience. This includes:

• Product analytics: We track page views, feature usage, and navigation patterns to understand how users interact with our service.
• Automatic interaction tracking: With your consent, we automatically capture certain interactions such as button clicks, link clicks, form submissions, and page views.
• Session recording: With your consent, we record browsing sessions to identify usability issues and improve the platform. Sensitive fields (passwords, security tokens) are automatically masked and never recorded. Only sessions on the production domain (planck.to) are recorded, and sessions shorter than 3 seconds are discarded.

By registering an account, you acknowledge and agree that product analytics may be active based on the terms described in our Privacy Policy, subject to the cookie consent mechanism.
