Planck as a Rebrandly alternative

Both are built around branded links on your own domain. The difference is which things are counted, and what each tier costs once you need them.

What each tier includes

Rebrandly's figures are their published plans on the date shown. Planck's are read from its live plan records.

Plan Price Links / month Custom domains
Free $0 10 links / month 1 custom domain (yourbrand.bio) plus a rebrand.ly domain
Essentials $8 / month 250 links / month 2 custom domains
Professional $22 / month 1,500 links / month 3 custom domains
Growth $69 / month 3,500 links / month 10 custom domains
Enterprise Custom
Rebrandly figures read from their pricing page on 2026-09-20. Rebrandly pricing. Annual billing is advertised as saving up to 11%.
Planck plan Price Links / month Custom domains Password protected links
Free Free 10 0 Not on this plan
Starter USD 5.00 200 0 Not on this plan
Professional USD 15.00 1,000 2 Any link on the plan
Agency USD 99.00 5,000 10 Any link on the plan
Planck's link allowance is counted per billing cycle, so it lines up with a "links / month" figure.

Counted, or included

This is the distinction worth understanding before comparing prices, because it decides whether a plan runs out mid-month.

Password protection

Rebrandly lists it as an allowance: 50 protected links on Professional, 150 on Growth.

On Planck it is a plan capability, applied to whichever links you want.

Changing a destination

Their Essentials plan lists 10 destination edits a month, and Professional 50.

This matters most for printed QR codes, where editing the destination is the entire point of using a short link.

Link expiration

Listed from their Professional tier upwards.

Planck expires by date, by click count, or to a fallback URL on the plans that include it.

Moving between the two

Because both products are built around a domain you own, a migration is less painful here than it is away from a provider-owned short domain. The domain is the asset; the platform behind it is replaceable.

  1. Export your link list from the current provider while the account is still active.
  2. Add the same domain to Planck and recreate the aliases that are still in circulation.
  3. Repoint the domain's DNS once the aliases exist, so nothing breaks in between.
  4. Export the analytics you want to keep, then close the old subscription.

Anything still on a rebrand.ly address stays with them; only links on your own domain can follow you.

When Rebrandly is the better choice

Their plans beat Planck's on several measures, and it is cheaper to notice that now than after moving.

  • You want a custom domain on a free plan. Theirs includes one; Planck's free tier includes none.
  • You need more monthly link volume at the entry price. Their Essentials tier at $8 includes 250 links and two domains.
  • You need workspaces with separate teammates, which they include from Professional upwards.
  • You need mobile deep linking or advanced role permissions, which they list on Growth.
  • You need SOC 2, HIPAA or SSO, which are on their Enterprise plan. Planck does not sell an enterprise tier.

The case for Planck here is a cheaper mid tier with uncounted password protection and expiry, plus landing pages and pixels in the same plan. If none of that is what constrains you, their plans may fit better.
