Where the two products differ
Both shorten links and count clicks. These are the differences that change what you pay or what you can do.
Allowance versus meter
TinyURL bills additional links in blocks once the monthly allowance is used. Planck sets an allowance per plan and does not charge per extra link; when you outgrow it you change plan.
Which is cheaper depends entirely on volume, so the sum above matters more than the headline.
What comes bundled
Landing pages, QR codes, retargeting pixels and spaces are part of the Planck plans rather than separate products.
If you only need short links, that bundling is not worth paying for.
Controls on the link itself
Password protection and expiry by date or click count are switches on a plan, not a metered quantity.

When TinyURL is the better choice
There is a clear volume band where their pricing wins, and pretending otherwise would not survive a reader checking the numbers.
- You create tens of thousands of links a month. Their Bulk plan includes 50,000 links for $69, which is far more volume per dollar than any Planck plan offers.
- You need three branded domains on a cheap plan. Their Pro tier includes three; Planck's lower tiers include fewer.
- Your links already live on tinyurl.com and cannot be reprinted or reissued.
- You want only short links and no landing pages, pixels or spaces, in which case you should not pay for them.
Below roughly a thousand links a month the sum at the top of this page favours Planck. Above five thousand it stops doing so. Work out which side you are on before switching anything.
